Training workshop at Yarmouk University Model School Amman, April 1, 2005
iEARN, The International Education and Resource Network- Jordan has recently conducted its basic training workshop at Yarmouk University Model School. During the two-day workshop, 20 male and female teachers took the training which is related to the project-based learning and its application within the classroom. iEARN projects combine information technologies, project based learning, group cooperation, and cultural exchange across the major curriculum areas. The workshop will showcase iEARN programs through a series of workshops that demonstrate youth empowerment through projects in environmental sciences, social studies, arts, language arts, and mathematics. “The training has given me new teaching methodology that I can apply in my classroom and it is really interesting” one of the participants said. The training comes as a result of iEARN Jordan to expand its network throughout Jordan to cover all the governorates. Support for the training is being provided by iEARN Jordan, iEARN US, Yarmouk University Model School and the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the US Department of State.
